“There is a door at the end of a silent corridor. And it’s haunting Harry Potter’d dreams. Why else would her be waking in the middle of the night screaming in terror?

Harry has a lot on his mind for this, his fifth year at Hogwarts: a Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher with a personality like poisoned honey; a big surprise on the Gryffindor Quidditch teams; and the looming terror of the Ordinary Wizarding Levels exams. But all these things pale  next to the growing threat of He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Names- a threat that neither the magical government nor the authorities at Hogwarts can stop.

As the grasp of darkness tightens, Harry must discover the true depth and strength of his friends, the importance of loyalty and the shocking price of unbearable sacrifice.

His fate depends on them all.”

This book is definitely one of my favorites in the series.

Once again, J.K. Rowling has amazed me with everything she wrote in this book.

Everything was set out so perfectly in this book. You never know what will happen next as you turn the page.

I absolutely hated Umbridge. I’m sure that I am not the only one who felt this way. Personally, I think that she is worse than Snape and Voldemort put together. The things that she did to the  students and what she put them through was unbearable. I can’t believe someone would do that to innocent students.

I’m very glad that Harry, Hermione, and Ron decided to set up the D.A. (Dumbledore’s Army). I think that the students needed that training. I mean, how could the ministry not let the students of Hogwarts learn how to defend themselves against the Dark Arts if they weren’t allowed to use magic?

The scenes in the Department of Mysteries were mind blowing. Twist and turns around every corner (even though Sirius’ death makes me sad every time I read it or see it in the movie). I loved the battle between Harry and his friends against the Death Eaters. I also enjoyed the battle between Dumbledore and Voldemort. Definitely some of my favorite battles in the series ever.

Overall, I had a very pleasant experience rereading this book. Can’t wait to move on to rereading the next book. I can’t believe there is only one book left before the last book. Onto The Half Blood Prince!
