“All year the half-bloods have been preparing for battle against the Titans, knowing the odds of victory are grim. Kronos’s army is stronger than ever, and with every god and half-blood he recruits, the evil Titan’s power only grows.
While the Olympians struggle to contain the rampaging monster, Typhon, Kronos begins his advance on New York City, where Mount Olympus stands virtually unguarded. Now it’s up to Percy and an army of young demigods to stop the Lord of Time.
In this momentous final book in the New York Times bestselling series, the long-awaited prophecy surrounding Percy’s sixteenth birthday unfolds. And as the battle for Western civilization rages on the streets of Manhattan, Percy faces a terrifying suspicion that he may be fighting against his own fate.”
What an amazing conclusion to a wonderful series!
Once again, Rick Riordan blew me away with everything that went on in this book.
I flew through this book and I literally had to force to put it down because it was that entrancing.
I especially loved all of the battle scenes throughout the book. Those were the main parts at which point I could not put the book down. They had me on the edge of my seat the entire time.
I loved the scene towards the end of the book when Percy and Annabeth were fighting Kronos and Annabeth was able to reach Luke deep down inside Kronos. I loved the interaction between them at that point because I didn’t think that they ever get through to Luke due to him being Kronos. I was so glad that they defeated Kronos and Luke died a hero.
I think my favorite aspect of this entire book was the interaction between Percy and Annabeth. Since the first book, their characters grow so much. When it came to this book, every moment that they spent together was written absolutely perfect. When it came to the point in the book where the Olympians gave him an impossible choice, whether to become a god or not, I was surprised that Percy decided to stay with his friends rather than become a god and be immortal. I the end I was very happy to see that Percy and Annabeth became a couple at the end of the book.
Overall I really enjoyed this book. I think it was the perfect ending to this amazing series. I can’t wait to see what will happen in the sequel series to it : The Heroes of Olympus series!!
