“Percy Jackson isn’t expecting freshman orientation to be any fun. But when a mysterious acquaintance appears on campus, followed by demon cheerleaders, things quickly move from bad to worse.

In this fourth installment of the blockbuster series, time is running out as war between the Olympians and the evil Titan lord Kronos draws near. Even the safe haven of Camp Half-Blood grows more vulnerable by the minute as Kronos’s army prepares to invade its once impenetrable borders. To stop the invasion, Percy and his demigod friends must set out on a quest through the Labyrinth- a sprawling underground world with stunning surprises at every turn.”

This series just keeps getting better and better!!!

I think this book has officially beat out The Titan’s Curse for my favorite book in the series! It was soooooo good!!

I loved the concept of the Labyrinth- this underground maze where everything is not what it seems. It made me be on the edge of my seat the entire time  Percy and his friends where in it.

I also really enjoyed how we got to meet all different kinds of monsters and villains throughout the book. From the empousa to  the giant how happened to be another one of Percy’s brothers, my mind was blown every time we were introduced to a new creature.

When it came to the character of Rachael Elizabeth Dare- the mortal girl who helps Percy, Annabeth, Nico, Tyson, and Grover find a way through and out of the Labyrinth, I was not a big fan of hers. I thought she was kind of one of those annoying sidekicks that was just there. However, I think it would be interesting to she her in the future books.

I was really happy when Nico came back in this installment of the series. After the way he had left in The Titan’s Curse, I wasn’t sure if we would ever see him again. But I’m glad the author did decide to bring him back in this book. I really like the role he played in it..

I loved this kind of budding romance that is happening between Percy and Annabeth- or as all of my friends and family who are fans of the series call them: Percabeth. It will be interesting to see if they become a couple in the rest of the series.

All in all, I thoroughly enjoyed this book. All of my expectations have been met throughout this entire series. I am absolutely ecstatic to move on to the final book in the series- even though I’m not ready for it to end- The Last Olympian and also I can not wait to see what happens in the sequel series to this series: The Heroes of Olympus!!!
